Late Model Series Goes Atomic for Hoosier 100
Atomic Motor Speedway
Oak Ridge, TN
WoO LMS Public Relations NORMAN,OK (March 1, 2004)
After more than a month off, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series takes to the road again to try and duplicate their inaugural Volusia Speedway crowd-pleaser Saturday and Sunday, March 13 and 14, during the Hoosier 100 at Atomic Speedway in Oak Ridge, TN.

Will the Dirty Dozen steal the show, or will the local competition give these outlaws a run for their money? Fans will find out when the WoO Late Model Series opens their fourth date of the season during the Hoosier 100 at Atomic Motor Speedway. Atomic Speedway Manager John Dean is enthusiastic about the prospects of bringing the new series to Oak Ridge.

"We've got the fastest dirt track in the country," said Dean. "It's an exciting track for the fans, we have a history of running a lot of very close races here - it's going to be great show."

The second stop of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series tour will again feature the series' own Dirty Dozen including five-time National Champion and Series Championship points leader Scott Bloomquist who will be trying to follow up his Volusia feature win in his current home state of Tennessee.

Joining Bloomquist in the 2004 WoO Dirty Dozen are Dale McDowell (17M), Rick Eckert (24), Bart Hartman (75), Billy Moyer (21), Steve Francis (15), Chub Frank (1), Dan Schlieper (9), Mike Balzano (E1), Wendell Wallace (88), Rick Aukland (12) and Darrell Lanigan (29).
The Hoosier 100 Saturday event will consist of a full program for the WoO Late Models including qualifying, heats, a dash race, consis and a 40-lap feature as well as several other divisions of local racing excitement. Saturday's main feature pays $500 to start and 5,000 to win. Sunday will also feature a full program with a 60-lap feature paying $800 to start and $12,000 to win plus again, edge of your seat racing from several other local divisions. It's a jam-packed weekend designed to offer something for every race fan.
